Vanilla Oat Milk Latte

For Caramel Vanilla Syrup: 

  • 1 cup sugar 
  • ½ cup warm water, divided 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 

For Lattes: 

  • 1-2 shots strong coffee or espresso 
  • 1 cup oat milk 
  • 1-3 tablespoons Caramel Vanilla Syrup 


For Caramel Vanilla Syrup 

  1. In a small saucepan combine sugar and ¼ cup water. Bring to boil and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes without stirring, until mixture becomes amber in color.  
  2. Carefully add remaining ¼ cup warm water and stir until well combined. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.  
  3. Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks 

For Lattes: 

  1. Brew coffee using 20 ounces of water and 8 tablespoons grounds. You will have extra. 
  2. In a tall heatproof glass, heat oat milk in microwave, about 2 minutes. Stir in syrup to taste. 
  3. Using a hand blender, blend oat milk at high speed until smooth and foamy. 
  4. Pour coffee or tea into mug and add oat milk. Spoon foam over top of latte. 

Serves: 1


Prepare Vanilla Latte adding 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Mocha Orange
Prepare Vanilla Latte adding 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and 3 large strips orange peel (add to bottom of mug and press with spoon to release oils in peel)

Pumpkin Spice
Prepare Vanilla Latte adding 3/8 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 

Chai Tea
Brew 1 chai teabag in ¾ cup boiling water. Continue with Step 2 for Vanilla Latte.

Test Kitchen Tip:

Cool and store extra Caramelized Vanilla Syrup in a tightly sealed container for up to one month. If it thickens too much, place container in a bowl of hot water until it thins out.
